The M/S Estonia disaster, the old article in The European newspaper and new investigations now in 2021...

In 2014 I wrote the article below: The artist Catharina Burevik and the M/S Estonia disaster. But now some new investigation has started as they have found some rips in the ship wreck. They are now going to take a lot of photos and make a model of the wreck.

Maybe somebody is now interested in the old article below.

Margareta Catharina Burevik, 1957 - 28th September, 1994.

This article is from ''The European'' newspaper on 17-23 in October, 1996 with the title: ''An artist's last pictures before her death in the Baltic maritime disaster seem an eerie premonition of her fate.''

These great drawings, drawn before she herself died in the M/S Estonia disaster, must at least to me hint about the fact that some must have known already before about the possibility of this disaster... How could see draw this kind of pictures in case she didn't have some hints about the possible disaster?

Some investigations have hinted that this might have been the case... In that case what was this disaster about and who made it happen and why???

Some people in Italy did have some project about the M/S Estonia disaster. They collected all possible information about people who have been or might have been on the M/S Estonian when the disaster took place. But now it seems this blog is not easily available any more.

However, I found a new similar blog, maybe kept of the same persons.

I have often been thinking about Catharina Burevik. It is not impossible I have met Catharina Burevik somewhere in Stockholm in real life in case she has been drawing there during her lifetime.

Does anyone know where more of her works could be found? Might someone be interested in putting more of her works into my blog? Does someone know if she already had some exhibitions somewhere and in that case when and where? Some articles written about her? What studies in art might she have attended? What kind of works did she do - drawings only or does somebody know something about her paintings? What material did she use? Is it possible someone might be interested in having some exhibition of her art-work somewhere in the near future in case more of her art-work could be found - or has somebody already done that job? Tallinn? Stockholm? Helsinki? Other places? Is there anybody else than me this much interested in Catharina Burevik and her art?

Sometimes maybe around 1975 I was myself on a ferry of SiljaLine between Christmas Days and The New Year. Then something broken in the front of the ferry. The Captain didn't dare to drive the ferry to Stockholm but turned and game back to Helsinki in order not to be forced to drive against the wind and let the ferry maybe broke. Who knows, that might have ended in some other way in case the Captain had not made his decision to return to the place of that departure from Helsinki. Does anybody remember this? Who else were there then?
