Experiments with black and sepia drawing inks plus black and white acrylics...

I seem to have missed to put here photos of these paintings I draw with inks already in August 2020 and continued with acrylics in April 2021.  These pictures are made of old drawings from 1993 that lack proper faces and I have not been able to make them faces at all now later either. Those days I was wondering why so many people draw and paint pictures without faces and somebody told me that it is because faces are not interesting. However, I think the lack of faces is because of lack of skills. However, we are even living in times when many things and people operate anonymously or using only some first names.

These are in about the size A3 as most of my works. If some are somewhat smaller they, however, suit in frames of 30 cm x 40 cm you can buy everywhere and they even suit the copy-machines as they are twice the size of paper A4. But if somebody is already interesting in frames for my pictures they are probably potential buyers. However, I don't think I am yet somebody who sells pictures to be hanged on walls in people's homes but just working to became that kind of a painter. Somebody told there was some great artist who did not even paint a painting on some piece of paper to be sold as it was enough he wrote his name on some paper and sold it. Maybe that kind of papers with some artist's signature then was hanged on some wall in someones home.

To make a picture in acrylics from a drawing ink painting...

To start with I didn't think that some colors needed to be used in this painting but that happened.

A drawing ink picture in black and white made on some old croquis of Pelican sepia drawing ink made around 1993.

Size of these A3, that is 30 cm x 40 cm.

Experiments to make a picture from drawing ink into acrylics...

I have tried once before to make a picture from a drawing ink picture into acrylics when I had only black and white acrylic paint... but that time I had a different kind of croquis picture I used. In that picture there is a more simple croquis drawn with only a black line. But in this I have used sepia drawing ink and a lot of water that spreads like some 'gold' on the paper. This effect does not happen with any kind of water color paper and I got it with the water color paper of Schollerhammer and Pelican sepia drawing ink. This ink and the this water color paper that seems not to be available any more in the shops here so I cannot make any more croquis or any other pictures of this kind. See the black-white-grey-picture from 25.02.2022: 'My first experiment with acrylic - just black and white'.

These works are in size A3.

Rillipää 1. Girl one with the eyeglasses. Acrylic ultramarin, ochre and white paint.

Rillipää 2. Girl two with the eyeglasses. Acrylics alizarin crimson, ochre and white paint.

Museumcars for little boys... Museoautoja pienille pojille...

I had a lot of problems with this...

The brushes you use in acrylics are a real problem as you have to paint so very quickly and the color dries into the brushes. Here I had difficulties with the grey paint that looks rather bad. And I had problems with the black lines as it was invisible on the blue car. Maybe I will develop this picture later if and when I know what I could do to this.

The size of these is A3.

It is impossible to draw/paint in acrylics as with drawing ink...

I am wondering what motive to paint next. I am tired of the interior pictures at the moment. So I searched among my old works. And I tried to make something of these two old flowers drawn with some strange pencil and black drawing ink.

It is impossible to make / draw lines with acrylics similar to those drawn with drawing ink, black or sepia. There the coincidence is working all the time. What is coincidence and what is the level of your skills and maybe your hand very shivering even if you are not so old.

I bought even some new colors in acrylics and then I tested the colors red, yellow, blue and green with the drawings of these flowers. Especially the green color is completely, horrible difficult. So here are the colors not mixed with anything else than probably some titanic white and tiny drops of some ochre or sepia or even some cadmium orange...

In the red and yellow paintings I did not leave the white areas next to lines but painted over the whole painting some light red and light yellow mixed with water. Maybe the works did not get better of this but effected the colors drawn first.

I am trying and searching for ways to paint but I have no idea what I am trying and searching... To think doesn't help when you don't know how to use the acrylic paint or really any paint at all. If I knew I      could probably call myself an artist... that I for sure am not... I even don't have some 'own thing' as real artists should have... so don't judge me too hard...
The size of these acrylics is A3.

I always seem to prefer some very simple drawing and large areas of some same paint...

This is one of my first experiments with acrylic paint...

I don't care if the drawing is not some correct one... the 'faults and mistakes' just happen by some coincidence... This is the first experiment in this with acrylics and I aim to develop this to something else when I know what I should do...

I tried if it is possible to paint something similar things with acrylic paint as with inks...
